You can start HelpNDoc using several convenient methods, depending on how you prefer to work.
Launching from the Desktop
If a HelpNDoc shortcut is available on your desktop:
- Locate the HelpNDoc icon.
- Double-click the icon to launch the application.
This method is ideal if you access HelpNDoc frequently.
Launching from the Start Menu
To start HelpNDoc from the Windows Start menu:
- Open the Start menu.
- Scroll through the list of installed applications or use the search box.
- Click HelpNDoc to launch it.
This is the recommended approach if you don't have a desktop shortcut.
Tip: You can quickly launch HelpNDoc by opening the Start menu and simply typing HelpNDoc on your keyboard, then pressing Enter to start the application immediately.
Launching from Windows Explorer
You can also open HelpNDoc directly from an existing project file:
- Open File Explorer.
- Navigate to a folder containing a HelpNDoc project file (.hnd).
- Double-click the project file.
HelpNDoc will start automatically and load the selected project, allowing you to resume work immediately.
Additional Tips
- Pin for quick access: If you regularly use HelpNDoc, you can right-click its icon in the Start menu or taskbar and choose Pin to Start or Pin to taskbar for faster access.
- Opening recent projects: When HelpNDoc starts without a project, the Welcome screen provides quick access to recently opened projects and folders.
Once HelpNDoc is launched, you're ready to create a new project or continue working on an existing one.
