HelpNDoc allows you to override project-level options on a per-build basis. This means you can generate multiple outputs from the same project, each with its own metadata or settings, without modifying the global project configuration.

In the Options override panel, you can redefine the following values for the selected build:

Resetting values

Each field defaults to <use default value>, meaning it inherits the global project settings. If you override a value and later wish to revert, delete the value to return the field to its default. Click the Reset link to reset all fields.

By using options overrides, you can adapt the same project to different audiences or distribution requirements - for example, publishing internal drafts with version notes while generating public documentation with finalized titles and copyright notices.
