Editing topic content in HelpNDoc is similar to working in a standard word processor, making it easy to start writing immediately.
- Click the topic you want to edit in the table of contents.
- The topic's content is displayed in the topic editor.
- Type or update the content directly in the editor.
Formatting and Inserting Content
The Write ribbon tab provides familiar editing tools, including:
- Font formatting options (font family, size, color, bold, italic, etc.)
- Paragraph controls (alignment, indentation, lists, spacing, etc.)
- Styles for consistent formatting across your documentation
You can also enrich your topics by inserting:
- Tables
- Hyperlinks
- Images and screenshots
- Other supported content elements
For a detailed overview of all editing features and advanced options, see Using the topic editor.
Once your topics are written and formatted, the next step is to compile your project and produce the final output. This is covered in the Generating documentation section.
